I will update with photos on the weekend.

Not much visible progress this week although lots of work done. Only four days work accomplished because of public holiday in middle of week.

Mostly work has concentrated on repairing the old girl’s face - her plaster work and her floors. Plasterers have been here three days - repairing all cracks and crumbly bits in the walls, filling in holes, and popping up a lovely deep cornice in both kitchen and pantry. They have done a fabulous job, and even spent an hour cleaning up after themselves (always a big tick in my book).

Today the floor sanders have been back and have final sanded the floor and are applying coats of sealer/lacquer. The house stinks. Because of that I can’t get out there right now to take photos … so they will come later.

How are you coping with the field rations while the kitchen is a no go zone? After the freezer fiasco did you have much left in the way of ready meals to keep you going?

Can’t wait to see the photos.

You get holidays in the middle of the week? Lucky you. Or perhaps unlucky. It does sound like the renovation is moving along better now than when it started with a hang over. Haha.

It sounds exciting Sara & I can’t wait to see the next installment of photos. You have to love builders that clean up after themselves.
