The builder has a hangover and is not here.
But never fear. He said he’d be around later with a builder who doesn’t have a hangover.
The kitchen is completely empty. It is so strange, I keep going round opening cupboards and drawers just to amaze at the emptiness.

Sara I’ve been so sorry to read of your freezer disaster, your spuds, but most of all that you’ve been ill again. You have given me hundreds of hours of pleasure with your books, I wish I could dig up a few spuds for you in return. I hope you feel better very soon & that the builder’s no-show this morning is number three & final of things that go wrong for you for a long time to come. xxxxx

The gods must be crazy. Or maybe I am just in a time warp. When did it become acceptable for builders to excuse a no show on the grounds of a hangover??
Probably at the same time it became acceptable for gum chewing waiters to shake their matted dreads over my pizza….

Well hopefully the kitchen goes quickly as possible. Also hoping you get better yourself.

To Jimmy #### from ######: Sara Douglass lives in Australia - a little bit far for your business to deliver, I think. And it’s kind of rude to leave advertisements on someone’s personal blog.
